Lattafa Musk Perfume

Lattafa's musk oils take the accords from the house's best-known eaux de parfum and put them in an alcohol-free format.

The point is not economy — it is behaviour. A spray is applied once in the morning and is largely gone by afternoon. An oil sits on the skin, projects less, and lasts considerably longer; and because the bottle is small enough to carry, you top it up rather than over-applying at eight in the morning.

How to wear it

Roll onto the wrists and behind the ears. Do not rub the wrists together — it crushes the top notes, which is a habit worth breaking. One application carries most of a day in an air-conditioned interior, less outdoors in summer.

It also works as a base layer. Applied under a Lattafa eau de parfum from the same family, the oil gives the spray something to hold on to and noticeably extends the wear — this is the standard Gulf layering trick, and it costs nothing to try.

Frequently asked questions

Should I rub my wrists together after applying?

No — rubbing crushes the top notes, a common habit worth breaking with any musk oil or eau de parfum.

Can I layer Lattafa musk oil under an eau de parfum?

Yes — applied first as a base layer, it gives the spray something to hold onto and noticeably extends the wear, a standard Gulf layering trick.

How long does the musk oil last compared to a spray?

Considerably longer on skin, though it projects less — a spray is largely gone by afternoon, while the oil is topped up rather than reapplied.
