Dubai Textile Spray

A textile spray is the most underrated thing in Gulf perfumery. It is not a room spray, and using it like one wastes it.

The difference is what it lands on. Sprayed into the air, fragrance disperses and fades within the hour. Sprayed onto fabric, it binds to the fibres and keeps releasing — curtains, majlis cushions, bedding, a sofa, an abaya or kandura hanging in the wardrobe. A garment misted on Monday is still scented on Thursday.

How to use it properly

Hold roughly 20 cm from the fabric and mist lightly; these are concentrated, and oud in particular builds fast. Spray the material, not the air. Test an inconspicuous corner first on silk, pale colours or anything delicate. And do the wardrobe as well as the room — clothing carries the scent with you, which is the whole point.
