What makes it work

Saffron and leather is the pairing that carries it. Saffron is a leathery material in its own right - dry, slightly bitter, faintly medicinal - so putting it above an actual leather note doubles the effect, and the rose and jasmine in between are what keep it from becoming austere.

How to wear it

Two sprays, then wait. Leather and oud both read harsher at the nozzle than they will on skin an hour later, and this one needs that hour. Evening and cooler months suit it; midday sun lifts the oud and makes it heavy.
