Lattafa - Al Andaleeb Eau de Parfum 100ml

Al Andaleeb is Lattafa's floral chypre — an older, more European structure than the house usually attempts.

Bitter almond and rose open it, and the bitterness is the point: it gives the rose an edge that a sweet opening would not. Mandarin, orange and bergamot bring the citrus lift. Jasmine and rose intertwine at the heart, and the chypre construction — bright top over a mossy, earthy foundation — is what carries the whole thing.

How it wears

100 ml eau de parfum. Chypres are dry rather than sweet, which makes them wearable in heat where an oriental would be too much. Bitter almond is a distinctive opening — try it on skin before deciding, because it reads very differently on paper.
