Volare - Avanse

Avanse is Volare's fruity floral for women — bright and sparkling on top, woody and grounded underneath.

Blackcurrant and Italian bergamot open it, joined by Calville Blanc apple and pineapple: tart and fizzy rather than candied. Rose, jasmine and patchouli make the heart, and the patchouli is what stops the flowers from turning powdery. Oakmoss, ambergris and a touch of vanilla close it — oakmoss giving the finish its slightly green, chypre-adjacent dryness.

How it wears

The fruit is loud for the first half hour and then steps back, leaving a rose-patchouli heart that lasts. Because the base is dry rather than sweet, it holds up better in warm weather than most fruity florals. Day into evening, and it suits both.
