The accord

Gourmand rather than austere. That is what makes it a hospitality bakhoor - the one burned before guests arrive rather than the resinous blends kept for formal occasions. It reads warm and comforting instead of solemn.

Part of a range

Bint Hooran exists across formats: the incense here, a woody home fragrance, and an eau de parfum. Layering them is how the accord is normally worn - the bakhoor in the room and on clothes, the perfume on skin.

How to burn it

A small piece on a lit charcoal disc in a mabkhara, or on an electric burner, which is easier indoors. A fingernail-sized piece scents a room; more gives smoke rather than fragrance. Walk clothes and hair through it, then ventilate.
