Banafa For Oud - Bakhour Al Khanjar

Bakhour Al Khanjar by Banafa For Oud - oud and vanilla, in a 50 g powder rather than a block. The name and emblem refer to the khanjar, the curved dagger of the Arabian peninsula.

Powder rather than block

The difference matters in use. A powder catches faster and gives its scent more quickly than a compressed block, which makes it easier to control: a small pinch is enough, and you can add more rather than committing a whole piece.

The accord

Oud with vanilla underneath - the resinous, woody depth of the material warmed and rounded, which is what makes it gourmand rather than austere.

How to burn it

A pinch on a lit charcoal disc in a mabkhara, or on an electric burner. Walk clothes and hair through the smoke to carry the scent. Ventilate afterwards.
