The accord

A comforting blend rather than a formal one - sweetness and wood carrying the smoke, so it reads warm and inviting instead of solemn. That register is what makes a bakhoor suitable for an ordinary evening rather than only for guests.

How to burn it

A small piece on a lit charcoal disc in a mabkhara, or on an electric burner for no charcoal smoke indoors. A fingernail-sized piece scents a room; more gives smoke rather than fragrance. Walk clothes and hair through it to carry the scent, then ventilate.
