Violet, rose, oud, on a base of vanilla, amber and benzoin.

Rose and oud is the oldest pairing in Arabian perfumery, and the reason it endures is that the two materials correct each other: oud on its own is austere and animalic, rose on its own can be thin. The violet at the top and the benzoin at the base are what give this version its powdery, satiny finish rather than a sharp one.

How it wears

Long-lasting, as compositions of this weight tend to be. Two sprays, then ten minutes before judging - oud reads harsher at the nozzle than it will on skin an hour later. Evening and cooler months suit it better than midday sun.
