Bois by Black Edition is a woody powdery eau de parfum built on a short, deliberately minimalist pyramid: Yemeni incense at the top, Tuscan iris at the heart, white musk at the base. Fifty millilitres.

Three notes, not a dozen

Rather than layering multiple accords, Bois relies on incense's mystical intensity, iris's powdery floral nobility and musk's creamy warmth to carry the whole composition - a structure that leaves each material clearly perceptible rather than blended into a single generic accord.

How it wears

Two sprays, then wait: the smoky incense opening is loudest first, and the musky white musk base is what carries through the rest of the day, with iris binding the two together throughout.
