Dark Door Sport by Maison Alhambra is a citrus woody masculine eau de parfum: citrus and elemi at the top, ginger and vetiver at the heart, herbal notes and sandalwood at the base. One hundred millilitres.

Elemi in the opening

Elemi is a resin with strong lemony and peppery facets, and using it here rather than a plain citrus is what gives the top its lift and elegance - it bridges the fruit into the ginger-vetiver heart more smoothly than citrus alone would.

How it wears

Two sprays on the neck and the inside of the wrists. Fresh and energetic at the opening, warming into sandalwood by the drydown - suited to daytime and active wear as much as an evening.
