White patchouli, and why that matters

White patchouli is a lighter, more refined reading of the material than standard patchouli - less earthy and camphorous, more transparent - which is what lets it sit under a heavy white-floral heart without weighing it down. Vetiver alongside it keeps the base dry rather than sweet.

How it wears

Two sprays, then wait: white florals unfold slowly, so judge this after an hour rather than at the nozzle. Its depth allows it to work in daylight as well as an evening, despite the floral character.
