Bitter almond and cherry is the pairing to notice. They share a chemistry - the same material family gives both their character - so they reinforce each other rather than competing, and the result is closer to marzipan or cherry stone than to fruit. The rose over that, and the woods under it, are what keep it from reading as a dessert.

How it wears

A composition with this many moving parts changes considerably over an hour. Judge it late. Two sprays at the pulse points; the almond and cherry are loudest first, the rose and wood are what remain.
