The oldest warm pairing in perfumery, and the one that behaves most predictably: it works by richness rather than by lift, it lasts, and it becomes considerably louder in heat. Which is why this belongs to winter evenings and cool days rather than to an August afternoon.

How it wears

Long-lasting - vanilla and oriental bases are the slowest materials to leave the skin. Two sprays is the right amount; with a composition of this weight a third adds volume rather than depth.

In Gulf summer, if you wear it at all, apply lower on the body - at the collarbone rather than the neck, since heat lifts a fragrance upward.
