The accord

Blackcurrant over flowers. Cassis is a tart, slightly green note, and putting it above a rose heart is what keeps the whole thing from turning powdery or old-fashioned - it gives the flowers an edge. Worn by men and women.

An oil, and a roll-on

No alcohol. A spray opens loudly and fades as the alcohol evaporates; an oil has nothing to evaporate, so it starts quiet and builds with body heat instead. The roll-on applies far less than a spray, which is why 5 ml lasts weeks - and why it travels without a thought about cabin limits.

How to use it

Roll onto the wrists and behind the ears, then leave it ten minutes. Do not rub the wrists together.
