Ser Al Malika, from Lattafa's Attar Al Ghalia collection, is a fruity oriental eau de parfum: cinnamon and saffron at the top, oud, sandalwood and patchouli at the heart, amber and vanilla at the base. One hundred millilitres.

That progression - fruity spice moving into a resinous woody heart - is the classic Attar Al Ghalia structure. The fruit at the top gives it lift; oud, sandalwood and patchouli together in the heart are what give the composition its real weight, before amber and vanilla close it on a comforting note.

How it wears

Two sprays, then wait: a composition built across fruit, resin and gourmand warmth changes considerably over the first hour. Versatile enough for evening or daytime, depending on how much is applied.
