The accord

Warm spice over dried fruit, on a vanilla base: cinnamon and nutmeg at the opening, dates and praline in the middle, tonka and vanilla underneath. It is a cold-weather register, and it is exactly the sort of accord that suits textile - it releases slowly from fabric rather than filling a room at once.

How to use it

Short passes from about thirty centimetres onto curtains, cushions, a majlis, or an abaya between wears. Test a hidden corner first on anything pale or delicate.
