Khamrah is Lattafa's most recognised fragrance and the one that introduced a great many people outside the Gulf to the house - spiced dried fruit over a boozy vanilla base. One hundred millilitres.

Dates, and why they carry the whole composition

Dried fruit is what separates this from a standard gourmand oriental. Praline and vanilla alone would read as dessert; dates give the sweetness a dry, slightly resinous edge instead, closer to a spiced fruitcake than to caramel. Tuberose in the heart is easy to miss at first - it arrives white and floral against the spice, and it is what keeps the composition from tipping fully into gourmand.

How it wears

Two sprays, then wait. The cinnamon and bergamot are loudest at the opening; the date-praline heart is what the fragrance is actually about, and it takes the better part of an hour to fully arrive. Evening and cooler months suit its weight, though the house wears it year-round.
