Antique by Niche Emarati Perfumes (a Lattafa house) is a gourmand woody oriental eau de parfum: fig, black tea, cardamom, milk and coconut at the top, iris, jasmine and vetiver at the heart, sandalwood, tonka bean, amber, musk and caramel at the base. One hundred millilitres.

The opening runs two contrasting ideas at once - fig and smoky black tea bring depth and mystery, while milk and coconut soften them with a gourmand, exotic veil - before iris and jasmine settle the heart into a more classical floral-woody register.

How it wears

Two sprays, then wait: the fig-tea opening is loudest first, and the sandalwood-tonka-caramel base is what carries through the rest of the day. Presented in an amber-brown bottle with copper reflections, inspired by an oriental incense burner.
