Dark Door Intense by Maison Alhambra is a spicy floral gourmand eau de parfum: lavender and vanilla at the top, iris and lavender at the heart, chocolate-adjacent, smoky and woody notes at the base. One hundred millilitres.

Iris against a chocolatey base

That is the contrast that defines this composition. Iris is powdery, cool and formal; the smoky, chocolatey base is warm and masculine. The house builds the whole fragrance around that tension - dry woods keeping the gourmand base from becoming too sweet.

How it wears

Two sprays, then wait: the lavender-vanilla opening evolves into the powdery iris heart over the first half hour, and the chocolatey woody base is what remains by the end of the day. Long-lasting, with genuine presence.
