Coffee is the note that keeps this one from being a dessert. Cocoa and tonka on their own would read as sweet and soft; the coffee adds a bitter, roasted edge, and the almond sits between the two. It is a gourmand with a dry side rather than a sugary one.

How it wears

Gourmands amplify in heat, so this is an evening and cool-weather composition more than a daytime one - in Gulf summer, apply less and lower on the body, at the collarbone rather than the neck.
