Royal Gold by El Nabil is a 350 ml textile and room spray: vanilla with amber underneath.

The accord

Vanilla and amber together are the warmest pairing in perfumery, and they behave differently on fabric than in air. Sprayed into a room they fade within the hour; on curtains, cushions or an abaya they release slowly over days, which is what the format is for.

When it suits

Cooler months and evenings. Heat amplifies vanilla and amber considerably, so a majlis in August will carry it much further than the same room in January - use less in summer rather than avoiding it.

How to use it

Short bursts from about thirty centimetres onto fabric, rather than one long pass. On anything pale or delicate, test a seam or a hem first. Three hundred and fifty millilitres lasts a long time at that rate.
