Grapefruit and cedar

It is a deliberately simple structure, and a durable one. Grapefruit gives the sharp, slightly bitter lift that reads as clean rather than sweet; cedarwood underneath keeps it dry and stops the citrus from disappearing, which is what happens to most colognes within the hour. The result is fresh without being fleeting.

How it wears

Twenty-five millilitres, worn at two sprays on the neck and the inside of the wrists. The citrus makes it one of the easier fragrances to wear in daytime heat, where a heavier oriental would be too much - and small enough to carry and reapply in the afternoon.
