Lustre Amour is the driest, greenest thing Volare makes — a woody aromatic in a catalogue otherwise full of gourmands.

Bergamot and galbanum open it, and galbanum is the reason this fragrance stands apart: it is one of the sharpest green materials in perfumery, sappy and almost bitter, the opposite of sweet. Ginger and solar notes hold the heart, adding warmth and a sunlit, salty-skin quality. Sandalwood and cedar close it clean and dry.

How it wears
