Musk Oud pairs the two materials that define Gulf perfumery — musk and oud — in an El Nabil eau de parfum rather than an oil.

El Nabil is best known for its alcohol-free musks, and this is the house translating that signature into a spray. The oud brings depth and the musk keeps it soft; the fragrance shifts noticeably as it develops on skin rather than staying on one note.

What that means in practice. A composition with this much movement should not be judged on the first spray. Oud in particular opens loud and takes half an hour to find its level. Apply, wait, then decide — most people who dislike an oud fragrance have only ever smelled its opening.

How much. Two sprays on skin, on the neck or the inside of the wrists. Do not rub the wrists together: it crushes the top notes and shortens the whole development you paid for.

Storage. Away from light and heat. A bottle left on a windowsill in a Gulf summer will turn within a season — the alcohol and the oud oxidise, and the fragrance loses the very depth that makes it worth buying.
