Musk Powder by IBRAQ (the house carrying on Ibrahim Al-Qurashi's perfumery, founded in Mecca in 1929) is a floral woody musk unisex eau de parfum: jasmine, ylang-ylang and rose at the top, cedarwood, iris and amber at the heart, musk, vanilla, tonka bean and powder at the base. Seventy-five millilitres.

Iris in the heart is what sets up the composition's name - a cool, cosmetic powderiness that the base then confirms with musk, vanilla and tonka bean, rather than a single powder accord doing all the work on its own.

How it wears

Two sprays, then wait: the jasmine-rose opening is loudest first, and the musky vanilla-tonka base is what carries through the rest of the day.
