Shaghaf Oud Abyad is the driest and most serious bottle in the Swiss Arabian line — no praline, no vanilla, no fruit. Woody spicy from start to finish.

Pepper, bergamot and oregano open it sharp and aromatic, which is already a departure from the sweetness of the original. The heart is smoky incense with amber, labdanum and myrrh — a resin accord that reads almost liturgical. The base is sandalwood, patchouli and leather with oud over the top.

Abyad means white, but nothing about this fragrance is light: the name refers to the bottle, not the composition.
