Wild Colt by ASSAF (a Saudi house working in a cleaner, more contemporary register than most of the Gulf catalogue) is an oud leather eau de parfum built around vetiver, oud, frankincense, davana and leather. One hundred millilitres.
Davana, an unusual inclusion
Davana is a herbal, fruity-winey material rarely seen alongside oud and leather - it softens what would otherwise be a dry, smoky composition with a faintly sweet, unusual edge, before vetiver and frankincense bring it back to a drier register.
How it wears
Two sprays, then wait: this is a composition built for presence rather than a light daily wear. Evening and cooler months suit its considerable weight.
